REGULATION

Applicants will qualify for the event only if:
1. they meet the requirements for one of the categories
2. they submit their application by April 15st, 2023
3. they pay the entrance fee 50 EUR solo player, 50 EUR ensemble by May 31st, 2023
 
or
at accreditation on the day of the competition.
Division of the competition:
A. Solo Play of bowed string instruments
B. Chamber Play for quartets of bowed string instruments (without a piano)

Playing from memory is required!

VIOLIN

1st category – year of birth 2013 and younger
A single round competition
Optional repertoire lasting up to 8 min.

2nd category – year of birth 2010 and younger
I. round: Fritz Kreisler - Sicilienne and Rigaudon in the Style of Francoeur
II. round: Optional repertoire lasting up to 10 min.

3rd category – year of birth 2007 and younger
I. round: Béla Bartók - 6 Romanian Folk Dances
II. round: Optional repertoire lasting up to 12 min.

4th category – year of birth 2003 and younge
I. round: Fritz Kreisler - Recitativo and Scherzo - Caprice, Op.6
II. round: Optional repertoire lasting up to 12 min.

VIOLA

year of birth 2003 and younge
I. round: F. A. Hoffmeister - 12 Etudes for Viola - Etude No. 5 Thema con Variazioni  (Peters 1993)
II. round: Optional repertoire lasting up to 12 min.

CELLO

1st category – year of birth 2013 and younger
A single round competition
Optional repertoire lasting up to 8 min.

2nd category – year of birth 2010 and younger
I. round: Antonio Vandini : Sonata F major
II. round: Optional repertoire lasting up to 8 min.

3rd category – year of birth 2007  and younger
I. round: Girolamo Frescobaldi: Toccata (Cassadó)
II. round: Optional repertoire lasting up to 12 min.

4th category –  year of birth 2003 and younger
I. round: Giuseppe Valentini: Sonata  E major op.8, No.10  Grave, Allegro
II. round: Optional repertoire lasting up to 12 min.

B. CHAMBER PLAY
(without a piano)

1st category – string quartets - year of birth 2007 and younger
Optional repertoire lasting up to 10 min.

2nd category  – string quartets - year of birth 1999 and younger
Optional repertoire lasting up to 15 min.

In the case of an audiovisual recordings and photo of the competition, the contestants renounces all economic and legal claims and agree to their further use.

Each contestant who submits the application to the competition agrees to its terms and conditions without reservation.
